MEXICO – organic
Most of the coffee cultivated in Mexico is in the southern region in the states of Chiapas, Oaxaca and Veracruz, with much of the production organized through cooperatives. Mexico is also one of the world’s largest exporters of organic-certified coffee. These arabica coffees tend to be lighter bodied, mild, and velvety smooth – with more subtle flavors. Fully washed and dried in the sun. Roasted medium. Certified master tasters have determined this coffee to have slight nuances of mango, butterscotch, milk chocolate.
Sourced from producers from the southern state of Chiapas, Mexico, where the mountain ranges provide higher altitudes and the ideal climates necessary for cultivating fine arabica coffees. The vast majority of the fincas are family-owned with less than 10 hectares of land where the harvest is fully washed and dried in the sun.
